The Idaho Falls Surgical Center is thrilled to announce our

30th Anniversary

of providing quality surgical care to Eastern Idaho!

IFSC would like to sincerely thank the community for their continued support over the past 3 decades.

In upcoming weeks there will be public announcements here and in the local media outlining events and festivities marking this historic milestone.

How it all began:
Started by concerned physicians and local businessmen in 1978, the IFSC opened it doors to its first patients in the fall of 1980 with 2 Operating Rooms in service.

Being the First ASC in Idaho and the Fifth in the nation caused quite a stir within the medical community.  This bold new concept became the trend for the future to keep costs down while providing cutting edge surgical care.

Demand was so great that within 5 years IFSC expanded to 4 ORs.

In 1992 the IFSC built the Idaho Falls Recovery Center to compliment the quality care already provided.  Post-surgical inpatient care to follow the outpatient care provided by the IFSC.  Now larger, more complex procedures could be performed with the same quality care without the high cost, impersonal hospital environment.

Today the IFSC has a medical staff of more than 50 doctors and provide employment for about 50 Eastern Idahoans.

The IFSC has always been locally owned and operated.
To date, more than 100,000 surgeries have been performed at the IFSC!

With your support, the IFSC looks forward to caring for you and your loved ones for another 30 years.
